Abstract Hypertensive disorders are the most common medical complication of pregnancy, The overall prevalence of HDP ranges between 5- 10% globally (Cunningham et al.,2010), And increases in developing countries such as Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbean was reported to range from 10%-15% (Duley,2005). The classification of HDP is valued as each of these categories has its own prognosis ,outcome (maternal & fetal) and a different management options (Pietrantoni & O’Brien,1994) & (Ferrazzani et al.,1990). Topic of this study is:( Hypertensive disorders during pregnancy in el Minya maternity hospital: A retrospective study). This study was designed to assess the prevalence of hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, maternal and perinatal morbidity and mortalities in a population based hospital in upper Egypt .Also other parameters e.g. age proportion and delivery methods and other related outcomes in the major referral hospital at EI-Minya governorate ,Egypt that serve about five million population and located in the Upper Egypt to enable us to. provide a preliminary data to our policy makers and community mangers to what extent the magnitude of such a problem in our community and if there is a difference regarding the incidence and spectrum of complications than other parts of the word. This work alms to evaluate the Incidence of HDP in Minia University hospital ,and also to evaluate maternal and fetal outcome (mortality and morbidity), Provide Statistical study to clarify risk factors. |
