Abstract Hepatocellular carcinoma has been increasing in Egypt with increase in the incidence rate. This has been attributed mainly to HCV infection. As Egypt has been documented as one of the highest prevalence areas of HCV infection in the world. Hepatocellular carcinoma affects the central and peripheral nervous systemin with more fatigue and depression in hepatocellular carcinoma than in Hepatitis C cirrhotic patients.
