Abstract The Practice of aerial photogrammetric map compilation aystems embraces the techniques and processes involved in extracting geometric features and most of semantic features reqired for the production of topographic, cadastral, andgeneral purpose maps. photogrammetrists as usual proceed with aerial photography, printing diapositives, constructing ground control, aerial tringulatin and mapcomilation.all theses phases are in a continual state of advancement. This thesis is concerning with the different methods and instruments used in aerial photogrammetric map comilation and especially digital aerial photogrammetric map comilation.a special regard is given to the expected accuracy in using digital aerial photogrammetry and levels of efficiency that will be achieved in deriving contour lines from extracted digital elevaion models DEMs. A stereopair has been selected for a pilot area, located in sinai,Which contains two types of terrain:flat and rugged.the photogrammetric systems used are the upgraded wild aviolyt BC2 by leica analytical system and the leica/Helava DPW770 digital system.A DEM is collected by the analytical system at 50m grid spacing and six DEMs are extracted by the digital system using 25um and 12.5um resolutions at 50m, 25m and 10m grid spacing.for the analysis purpose, three DEMs with 50m,25m and 10m grid spacing are derved from the available stereodigitized contour lines by the wild AG1 analogue system for the same stereomodel. |
