Abstract
The present study was performed to investigate the protective effect of vitamin E or L-camitine on some renal function tests after rhabdomyolysis induced acute renal failure. The present work carried on thirty two adult albino male rats each weighting 200-250 grams. the animals were randomly divided into three groups ,the third group is further subdivided in to 2 subgroups ,eachcontain eight(8) rats as follow: Group I (Control group): Normal control group receives saline lO mlJkg i.m. Group 11 (Rbabdomyolysis group): Receive glycerol l Oml/kg i.m.once (SO%v/v in sterile saline).half of the dose was administrated in each hind limb muscle . Group III (Rbabdomyolysis treated group): Receive glycerol as group II and then this group was further subdivided in to two subgroups.
