Abstract The present study aims to assess the clinical significance of serum ghrelin level in CKD patients on conservative treatment as well as on regular· hemodialysis and to evaluate its relation to malnutrition and to various clinical and laboratory parameters in these patients. Forty CKD patients were selected to perform the study. They were classified into two groups: 20 CKD patients on conservative treatment and 20 CKD patients on regular hemodialysis.
