Abstract Diabetic nephropathy is a major cause of morbidity and mortality among young adults with type١ DM(Donaghue et al., ٢٠٠٩)It is suggested that patients with common risk factors including greater duration of diabetes, hypertension,poor metabolic control,smoking, obesity and hyperlipidemia are more prone to develop diabetic complications (Daneman , (٢٠٠٥ Microalbuminuria is the first sign of diabetic nephropathy (DN). Eary detection of DN is very important as even slightly abnormal urinary albumin excretion is associated with renal and vascular damage.Thus,it is important for detecting patients having risk factors for developing nephropathy Bogdanovi٢٠٠١). |
