المستخلص

The present is a trial for removing heavy metal from water by sing dried green algae. Bio type able to adsorb heavy metals are called :io mass including bacteria, Algae, fungi and botanic wastes. In such :ests, the green alga, specially Ulva lactuca are used as a bio mass to ernove heavy metals from water media, heavy metals result from izdustrial wastes which are dangerous for all living organisms due to their available quantity, law cost and high efficiency; these types.
Have multi functions including carboxil, , phenol, carbonyl and Amid groups. The study discusses the use of concentrations of Nical and copper as an approach to the water environments pollutants.
This study will discuss what was published in this field nationally and z:ernationally about using green alga and their bio adsorption efficiency, their primary treatment methods, amending and reactivating to develop e adsorption capacity and the adsorption application specially in treating polluted water.
The results could be summarized in determining the suitable PH, time giving more balance for adsorption and identifying alga concentrations needed for adsorption.
After alga saturation by metals adsorbed before, they may be .vashed by hydrochloric acid or metric acid to extract such metals and recycling in intraday, algae are reused after washing by acid according to the same efficiency for many times, Number of reusing alga depend on
-:pe of metals taken from water and metal available concentration, in thdition to type and concentration of acid used in washing, as heavy zeals concentration in water decreases the adsorption rate increases. E-actical experiments proved the stability of alga mixture efficiency.
Accordingly, algae are use in removing industrial pollution (heavy zetals) from the sea environment due to the algae ability to adsorb heavy etals from water, algae may be used for many times the affair which reduces costs, therefore it is a low cost and safe technique.
