Abstract

This investigation aimed to evaluate the effect of some antioxidants, such as (ascorbic acid and salicylic acid) and chelated zinc on vegetative growth, fruiting as well as physical and chemical characteristics of fruits, of Balady mandarin fruits
. Obtained results are as follows:
1- The obtained results showed that Sprayed the trees with ascorbic, and salicylic acids at 1000 ppm, resulted in longer fruiting shoots than the other treatments or the control.
2- Mandarin trees which sprayed with ascorbic, salicylic acids or chelated zinc at 500 ppm and 1000 ppm reduced fruit DROPping significantly than, the untreated trees.
3- Sprayed mandarin trees with both ascorbic acid and chelated zinc at 500or 1000 ppm gave a height weight and increase the fruit diameter of fruits than those treated with salicylic acid at 500 0r 1000 ppm or the untreated trees
4 -Trees sprayed with ascorbic acid at 500 ppm gave a higher significant value of vitamin C in fruit juice than the other treatments or the control.
5- Trees which sprayed with ascorbic acid at 1000 ppm gave a higher of total carotenoids than the other treatment or the control under the seasons of the study.
