Abstract

Our study showed that:
· There was no statistical significant difference as regards age distribution
between studied groups.
· There was no statistical significant difference as regard sex distribution in the
studied groups.
· There were no statistical significant differences as regard means BNP levels
between males and females in all studied groups.
· There were no statistical significant differences as regard means BNP levels
between different types of epilepsy among the patients groups.
· There was statistically significant higher mean values of BNP in patients with
generalized seizures compared to those with focal ones,
· There was no statistical significant differences as regard means BNP levels
between different types of antiepileptic drug therapy among the patients
groups.
· There was statistically significant higher mean values of HR in patients
compared to controls, further more, with patients there was statistical
significant higher mean values in HR in Convulsion group compared to
History group.
