Abstract
Tourism becomes recently one of the most important sources of national income. Suez Canal Zone has a very important position in accordance to various national development axes. Port-Said was chosen as a case study as it is characterized by its particular location, in addition, tourism is the perfect way to flourish its enoconomic position especially after the cancellation of the free zone and losing most of the residents their current jobs. Consequently, the basic aim of this research is to propose guidelines for tourism development in port-said as a part of suez Canal Zone. In order to establish these guidelines, it was necessary to review tourism development objectives, issues and requirements, then, studing some selected foreign experiences.
