Abstract
In the last two decades Arabic skylines have witnessed great where high-rise buildings are beginning to dot their skylines, and expected to increase dramatically. In this thesis context the aim is; to examine the role of high-rise buildings in the shaping of urban space and their physical, environmental and social impacts on urban environment.
This research from its case study attempts to evaluate existing and proposed high-rise buildings within the city context according to their continuity, creativity and cultural identity in contemporary Arabic architecture, from holistic view of Arabic high-rise buildings, depending on many methodological approaches.
