Abstract V— SUMMARY The present study concerned with studying the effect of ring regime at different growth stages on two wheat variet— representing two wheat species. durum wheat, Stork “S” and d wheat, Giza 160 to determine the optimum number of irrigns required at different stages of growth with treatments ing from low to excessive irrigations, i.e. under conditions ntensive and extensive irrigations. Also, determination of r consumptive use and water use efficiency of the watering ne studied were taken into our consideration. This investi— on was conducted at Shandweel Agricultural Research Station ng 1982/1983 and 1983/1984 seasons. The experimental plots arranged in split—plot design with four replications. The wheat cultivars were fixed in the whole plots while’ the subs were occupied by twelve different irrigation treatments ollows : — Six irrigations: the first at crown-root-initiation, the second at late tillering, the third at jointing, the fourth at flowering, the fifth at milk and sixth at dough stages. Five irrigations: the same as treatment 1 except withholding irrigation at late tillering stage. Five irrigations: the same as treatment 1 except withholding irrigation at flowering stage. |
