Abstract In order to study the role of TF and C 3 in the pathogenesis of male infertility and to correlate these factors with other data obtained from Semen analysis as count and motility, 60 subjects were selected and classified to three groups. Control group comprised 20 apparently normal individuals with normal spermo- gram. Their age ranged from 19-44. Oligospermia group comprised 20 patients with the age range (25-51). Azoospermia group comprised 20 patients with age range (19-51). Semen samples were obtained by masturbation after 4 days of abstinence and the following i nv e stigations were done: 1- Complete Semen analysis. 2- Quantitative determination of TF and C 3 in the seminal plasma by the USe of LC-Partigen immunodiffusion plates. Statistical analysis was done and came to the following: Seminal plasma TF in the control group was significantly higher than the oligospermia and azoospermia groups. There was a positive correlation between seminal plasma TF and sperm count in both the control and oligospermia groups. |
