Abstract This study about diagnostic laparoscopy was done on 20 patients with known or suspected abdominal malignancy. Those patients underwent clinical and radiological evaluation before laparoscopic evaluation. Diagnostic laparoscopy was carried on 20 patients; 13 males (65%) and 7 females (35%). The age of the patients ranged from 30 to 70 ears. they included 8 patients with colorectal tumours (40%) [3 patients with rectosegmoid tumours (15%),4 patients with Rt. side. cancer colon (20%), one patient with left side cancer colon (5%)]. the remaining 12 patients included 4 patients with pancreatic tumours -12 (20%), 3 patients with gastric tumours (15%),2 patients with abdominal non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma (10%), One patient with ovarian tumour (5%),2 patients with primary liver tumour (10%) In this study we studied the site primary tumour, ascites, peritoneal seedlings, hepatic metastasis, abdominal lymph nodes metastasis and presence of adhesions in all patients. |
