Abstract
Native breeds their crosses may have the characteristics of well adaption to our local environmental conditions, their genetic resistance to msome local diseases as well as their good taste and flavor make them more acceptable by consumers.However the performance of native strains of chickens still far behind that of commericial breeds.Therefore, increasing and improving the production of our local stocks should be one of our breeders’main targets.
