Abstract The present study was carried out at Bani Iorr Friesian’s Station located 3 km north Assiut, zom 1981 — 1982. It was under taken to determine the effect of energy level intake in Friesian cow’s rations during dry and 1acttion periods on yield and composition of milk and some blood constituents. : — 1. The average daily milk yield was 16.09 ± 0.98 g and 16.84 ± 1.1 kg for groups fed 100% end 115% of NRC (1978) recommended level duxthg the dry period, respectively. The eorrepondiaig values for -CM were 15.40 ± O•92 kg and 16.17 ± 1.03 kg Differences between treatments were not si&niti— cant for both milk yield and F1• The average daily milk yield was 14.93 ± 0•90 kg snd 18.0 ± 1.18 kg for groups fed on low (s& of NRC allowance )and high levels during post—par— turn period (12O of NRC allowunce) respectively. The corresponding values for PC were 14.61 ± 0.82 kg and 16.96 ± 1.13 kg. Differences between treatments were sinificnt (P<0.05) only for milk yield. |
