Abstract research presents the idea that computer simulated visualization, if used appropriately, can revolutionize the process of public participation in evaluating the process of riverfronts’ landscape regeneration alternatives in an effective way, so the research aims to develop an approach to enhance public participation in river Nile banks regeneration using new computer simulated visualization techniques, and then testing the reliability of this suggested approach through a limited experiment that is applied on evaluation of proposed alternatives of riverfront’s landscape regeneration. The research emphasized on a new point of research which has never been discussed before with this methodology. The research emphasized on the importance of a computer generated visualization tool to improve public participation which is becoming increasingly recognized within the landscape architecture, urban landscape and design community, as a tool may be used to evaluate modifications in landscape elements which are prepared by landscape architects to regenerate the riverfront’s landscape. |
