المستخلص The present study sought to identify the Effectiveness Of ACounselling Progrm In The Social Skills Training For Faculty Of Education Students With Childhood Abuse Experiences. The study psychometric sample comprised (449) college students (159) males , (290) females. The study tools included childhood trauma Questionnaire (CTQ) translated by (Dr Abdul-Rakeep, A. Elbheary & Dr. Eman Abo Deef, 2003), The social skills measure developed by (the researcher), counseling program in the social skills training by ( the researcher). The clinical sample comprised (10) female students as an experimental sample and ( 10 ) female students as a control one. The study has conduct to the following results: 1- There is a statistically significant negative correlation between childhood experiences and the social skills. 2- There are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the males and the females who have undergone childhood abuse experiences. 3- There are statistically significant difference within the treatment group between the pre- and the post test mean scores in social skills. 4- There isn’t any statistically significant differences within the treatment group between the follow-up measure and the post test in social skills. Thus, the results which the present study has yielded do, in total, indicate the efficacy of the counseling program in the social skills training of those with childhood abuse experiences to social skills. This would, therefore, necessitates the further giving of due attention ; on the part of students and researchers in Psychology, to offer more counselling and treatment services to such individuals. |
