Abstract
Aim of the work: To study malignant pleural mesothelioma
(MPM) in Egypt and compare that to worldwide values.
Methods: Pathology reports from MPM patients were obtained
from the archives of the Pathology department in Kasr El Aini.
Results: MPM is on the rise in Egypt, and females were found to
be just as likely to suffer as males.
Recommendations: Developing a ”cancer registry” for MPM.
