Abstract BruceJiosis is one of the most world wide distribution infectious disease It leads to great economic loses amonf infected sheep It can disrupt the whole breeding and production programme with added hazards of being one of the most impotant zoonotic disease Serodiagnostic techniques are the most impotant methods by which brucella infection is diagnosed in sheep. Through the surveillance of brucellosis among sheep in Assiut Governorate, the incidence of the disease was determined as well as differential studies on the used tests (six different serological assays ) were done. A total of 19927 sheep blood samples from eight different localities in Assiut Govemorate were screened by RBPT & BAPAT Negative samples by these sensitive tests were discarded and the seror-eactors for any or both screening tests were subjected to SAT , MET , Riv.T and cELISA Brucellosis incidence all over the governorate was 0.77 %. The incidence of the different localities were 1.87% ,0.72%, 0.8%,0.13 % ,0.2%, 0.05 % , 0.06 % and 0.06 % in Abo-Teeg , Kosseia , Manifout , Atsiut, Dirout, Sedfa , El-Saliel and El-Badary respectively. Sensitivity , specificity and efficiency of all tests used were fully studied as well as the agreement of the convential serological tests with the primary binding inimuonoassay included in the study ( cELISA) was discussed. |
