Abstract
Through out history, the city has been subjected to various
lnfluences which forced it to change, upgrade, or even mutate. Such
influences took physical forms and the urban fabric reacted towards
aspects that took place within. The different the factor that affects the
city, the different the reaction takes place.
Nowadays, a new effect is present within tbe city in the form of
digital waves, transforming data, connecting users, performing activities,
allocating resources, and even highlighting zones of interest Such a
technolOgy intToduction was minimal in its infrastructure, yet had great
effect on the physical performance of the city fabric.
Many cities underestimate the value of information, and perceive
networks as access points of data and recreation, In fact, the presence of
such networks can be a vaJuable tool of data gathering concerning the
city’s fabric, dwellers, activities. resources. and future development
schemes. The more the networks in the city, the more the ease of data
gathering, and the more the enhancement schemes introduced.
