Abstract One hundred and Sixty dead turkey poults or 1-.4 weeka and 50 adult turkey of 8—12 months were examined and the elinical signs and patho1cgicel picture were described Mycological isolatin from lungs, orope and tracheal swabs revealed 1Q ppeeje o fungi vis: Aspargillus fumigatua, A. flayus, A, niger, A? flaflpis, Paecillo— myces, Scopu1anosie, Ehiopus, Luoos spp., Pencillium sp,, yeaqt and yeast like fungi. The pathogenicity oZ 7 species of the isolates was tea- ted in 3—we?ks old turkey — poults by intra—ahdoménal airsac inoculation. All the tested fungi were pathogenic With special reference to Aspergillus species which were hih1y vflulent. Macre and micro pathological changes were desoribed. Trials to determine sensitivity of the isolated ftngi to fungicidal and chemical agents proyad that all the isolates were ensitive to Merouric iodide, copper sulphete and Thiobendazale while were resistant to Eryth— roniycine and ematine. |
