Abstract cted by n-hexane, carbon tetrachloride and methanol, Each extract was evaporated to dryness and then bioassayed against three tested bacteria (B.subtilus ,S.pyogenus, S.sonnei). The results showed that methanolic extract was strong active Methanolic extract was fractionated into five fractions (F1,F2,F3,F4 and F5). Each fraction was bioassayed against the same tested strains. The results showed that (F1) has the most inhibition effect against all tested pathogenic bacteria. The active fraction (F1) was separated using (TLC).Separation showed the presence of four compounds (C1,C2,C3 and C4).The most active compound was(C3). Different gradient concentrations (50, 100, 150 and 200µg/ml) of the active compound (C3) was bioassayed against the same tested bacteria with comparing by the artificial antibiotic as a standard with respecting to control has been carried out. The results showed that the inhibitory effect increased with the increasing of concentration, particularly at the last two concentrations (150 and 200µ/ml).The active compound has reducing power activity. It’s structural formula : 1-thioformyl,8-β-d-glucopyranoside-bis-2,3 dihyDROPyridinopyrrol or/ and 1 thioformyl -8-D glucopyranosid β-carboline-7 azo |
