Abstract
Between the indoor environment and the outdoor climatic conditions, stands the building envelope as a mediator that performs the function of climatic control between both climates in order to maintain internal human comfort conditions. the more efficient the building envelope is, the less the energy consumed by mechanical systems to maintain comfort.
