Abstract Eugenia jambolana, Lam. is an evergreen glabrous tree 7-10 meters high with whitish branches belonging to family Myrtaceae. the frutis, seeds, leaves, and bark of Eugenia jambolana, Lam. are of great importance in folk medicine as antibiotic, diuretic , astringent, antiseptic and stomachic . the decoction of the bark is useful in treatment of dysentery and chronic diarrhea . It is also used as gargle for spongy gum as well as sore throat. Powdered seeds or liquid extract of the fruit are used as beneficial remedy in diabetes and relives thirst of diabetes very effectively. Daucus carota L. (wild carrot) is a biennial herb belonging to family Umbelliferae. It is indigenous to Europe but found growing around the world. |
