Abstract In this current study we will investigate the expression of platelet derived endothelial cell growth factor (PD-ECGF) in cases of bladder carcinoma and its correlation to both pathological type of the tumour and its histological grade. Conclusions: 1- Detection the level of PD-ECGF in the serum of patients with bladder cancer may be useful as a good tool for both diagnostic and follow up purposes. 2- Bilharziasis was proven to be associated with increased level of PD-ECGF and with increased angiogenesis and tumour growth, so controlling of bilharziasis is an essential factor in decreasing the incidence of bladder cancer in Egypt. |
