Abstract
The present investigation was carried out during two successive seasone 1986 /1987 and 197/1988 on 20 years – old Balady mandarin trees budded on sour orange trees in an orchard of Mallawy where the soil charac-terized with well drained clay loam soil with a water table not less than two merters . The research aimed to study the effect of nitrogen rates and sources , as well as , the proportion of mineral nitrogen additions on leaf area and its chemical components , preharvest drop number of fruits , the yield , physical . and chemical prpperties of Balady mandarin fruits .
