Abstract The present work aimed to participate in the improvement of charomyces cerevisiae through mutation, protoplast fusion and his formation procedures. Growth rate, sugar consumption, ethanol tolerance NACI tolerance were evaluated. This study may contribute in developing industrial products of yeast . Treating S. cerevisiae (mating type ”a” and ’a” ) with different concentrations of diethylamine (DEA)for 2 hr indicate that the survivals of mating types decreased by increasing the DEA concentration All of the constants obtained from the two mating types upon treatment with DEA were and to be unstable and reverted after 3-5 limes of re-culturing on YNB animal medium. |
