Abstract Natural gas was discovered recently in Egypt in three main fields; ABU-MADI in the Delta, ABU-QIR north Alexandria and ABU-GHARADIG in the western desert. The estimated reserves are very favorable even at a high rates of consumption. The known gas reserves are estimated at about 40 % of the oil reserves, meanwhile the production of gas represents only about 9 % of the oil production . Beside the previous fields, there are some others still under development Attention was paid:_ also to the associated gas wells. From the oil producing fields, gas will be gathered, treated and piped, to avoid gas flaring at the various platforms’.For the time being, there are limited uses of Egyptian natural gases. It is consumed mainly as a fuel. While when introducing natural gas in industrial and domestic uses, we can save more than four million tons of mazou-’,, per year for export.
