Abstract This research deals with compound regulation of bled steam Pressure and turbine’s speed in marine steam power plants. It combines the classical and modern approaches in what concerns linear automatic control theories being adapted to the field of industrial regulation of steam turbines. It is an established fact the rate of advance of control theories and its related topics is extremely leading their actual applications in the territory of industrial regulation. So, this research is a theoritical one depending on the adaptation of modern theories of linear automatic control, higher mathematics, numerical methods, computer programming and analogue simulation to the investigation of the dynamic behaviour of steam turbines under external load and extracted steam amount disturbances, only in the ahead operation of ship propulsion. Owing to the widely spreading domain of the research subjects, tools and references, it was difficult to unify symbols through the whole dissertation. However, a symbols table placed in chapter five interpreter the mathematical modelling of the control systems under consideration together with their digital simulations and obtained results.
