Abstract
Aim of the work
1- Measurement of serum Troponin T and compared its results with serum CPK, CPK-MB isoform increase after PTCA.
2- To detect the correlation between myocardial injury estimated by cardial Troponin T release and ischemic time (balloon inflation time) and number of inflation.
Conclusion
The present study indicated a very high diagnostic sensitivity of Troponin T versus CK and CK-MB in the detection of minor myocardial injury after PTCA.
Total inflation time. When less than 40 seconds was not associated with any cardiac TnT release.
Cardiac TnT level was significantly correlated with the first ischemic time.
So, it is concluded that superiority of cardiac TnT over all CPK and CPK-MB for diagnosis of myocardial damage.
Duration of first ischemic time (first inflation time) directly correlated with severity of myocardial damage evidence by cardiac TnT release.
