The current work was carried out on 30 lungs and three whole birds of apparently healthy adult ostrich of both sexes, aging from one to four years and of different breeds. The specimens were collected from the different farms in Egypt, farm of Fac. Vet. Med. Zag. Univ. Army farm in EL-kassaseen, Alexandria farms and other ostrich slaughter houses.The whole birds were fixed and dissected to reveal the topography and morphological features of the lung in situ and to make its skeletopic relations and the sites of connections between the lung and air sacs. As well as the thorax of one bird was cut transversally at three levels to describe the lung inside the pulmonary cavity. In regarding to the isolated specimens two lungs were plastinated by silicon 10 technique at Zagazig plastination laboratory. Eight lungs were injected by gum milk (Latex 60%) through A. pulmonalis and A. carotis communis (with gum milk colored red by carmine), V. pulmonalis (with gum milk colored blue by methylen blue) and bronchial tree. Four lungs injected by urographin through A. pulmonalis et V. pulmonalis. Three lungs were injected by clear, black and white silicon through the trachea, A. pulmonalis, and V. pulmonalis respectively. .
