Abstract

The silk industry in Egypt is small, but its potenial for development and expanion is significant and promising. One reason of this problem in Egypt is the fact that sericulture still depends on the imported bivoltine hybird which results one generation and one rearing in spring, every year, because of the production eggs go throw a diapause. Therefore, sericulture production through of the supply of the eggs all year round, which can be attained by preventing the eggs to go throw diapause or break this diapause after applying different treatments which are called artificial hatching methods.
