Abstract

We reported the following complications:
Decreased ROM occurred in 2 Patients (4%). However, one case was due to infection and the other was due to Sudeck’s atrophy. The
2 cases needed arthroscopic notchplasty to restore full extension, and one case needed M.U.A. to restore full flexion. The 2 cases were rated D group (severely abnormal) according to IKDC rating score.
Anterior knee pain occurred in 8 patients; but severe bothering
Pain was present in only 2 cases due grade 2 patellar degeneration in one patient and medial femoral condoyle grade 2 degeneration in the other one. Both cases were rated ”abnormal” (c).
Recurrent effusion occurred in two cases only. A longitudinal tear
Of MM was present in one case and treated by partial meniscectomy. Loosening of sutures of repaired peripheral tear of LM was discovered in the other patient; and subtotal lateral meniscectomy was performed to solve the problem.
Neurapraxia of the saphenous nerve and its infrapatellar branch was met in seven patients.
Hematoma of the graft harvest sits in two cases, that Necessitated evacuation under general anesthesia. Postoperatively and after applying crepe bandages, were tightly wrapped from the heads of metatarsals up to the high thigh.
Superficial infection of the harvest site in three cases and they all responded to antibiotic therapy.
