Abstract

The present study was carried out to throw spot lights on the rabbits as a model for evaluation of the cellular immunity in response to injection of some bacterial vaccines and because cell-mediated immune responses are best stimulated by live vaccines, BCG and Rev.l vaccines were used.
Two experiments were carried out in two groups of rabbits. The first group used in evaluation of the cellular immunity of rabbits injected by BCG vaccine, and the other group used in evaluation of the cellular immunity of rabbits injected by Rev.l vaccine. In the two groups we tried to know if the sex or the breed had an effect or no on the cellular immunity of tested rabbits so we used foreign and native (male and female) rabbits.
The results of experiment I revealed that intradermal injection of BCG vaccine in the back of foreign and native (male and female) rabbits stimulated the output of viable lymphocytes in the peripheral blood up to the 3rd day post injection, where the total count of viable lymphocytes was (3.2xl05) viable lymphocyte/ml in both males and females foreign breed rabbits and (2.4xl05) in male and (4xl 05) in female native breed rabbits and peaked at the
