Abstract

P rennial weed are generally the most dtfficulr weeds to control and
are problematic. in crop production ·odd ride. The Lllajor factor contributing
t difficulty of control i vegetative reproduction by underground propagule ..
and their carbohydrate r erve that afford tremendous comp titive
advantage over associated crops in Egypt.
Th four tudied of perennial weeds i.e, cogongras ”lmperata
cylindrica (L.) p.” bennudagra 5 ”Cynodon dactylon ) per .”, nutsedge
”Cyperus rotundas L.” and field bindweed” ’onvolvulu a/”V(!nS;S L.” are
th domiaant noxious weed and ind ed in mot parts ofthe world.
Imperato cylindrtca (L.) p. Beauv, a coarse. oulms olid and
tall.propagating through eeds and rhizomatous stein. 4 gra . Il now-leaf
monocor. and Gramineae .
Cynodon d ictylon (L) pers .. 11 tufted troloniferou grass, propagating
