Abstract Atrial fibrillation is the most common arrthymic complication after coronary artery by pass graft, although atrial fibrillation is a benign arrhythmia it may contribute to the morbidity, high cost and prolonged hospital stay. Our study was done on 311 patients underwent isolated CABG in ElMaadi Armed Forced Hospital. Medical records of 311 patients were reviewed. All clinical data were collected. Preoperative data included gender, age, history of MI, past history of medical diseases e.g. CNS, thyroid, surgery, liver, hypertension, diabetes mellitus and history of smoking. Furthermore preoperative Echo&ECG findings were assessed e.g. Lt atrial dilation, ejection fraction, PR interval, P wave duration. Intra operative data included type and number of graft used in revascularization. |
