Abstract This study includes 80 asthmatic cases ( tested group) and 20 control cases (non-asthmatic cases). Two samples taken from each case, sputum for isolation of possible fungi and detection of sputum eosinophelia, and blood for detection of peripheral blood eosinophelia and for serological tests. Another intradermal test was done (skin prick test). The studied asthmatic patients were divided into two groups. The first group includes patients living in rural areas (50 cases) and the second group includes patients living in urban areas (30 cases ). The first group was divided into two sub-groups according to if the patients are not using air condition (40 cases ), or if the patients are using air conditions (10 cases ). The second group was also divided into sub- groups according to if the patients are not using air conditions (20 cases), or if the patients are using air conditions (10 cases). |
