Abstract Haematuria is a common diagnostic problem in clinical practice. It is often the first indicator of significant renal, urologic or systemicAccurate diagnosis of origin of haematuria may requrie extensive investigations. If a glomeruiar lesion is suggested, then the patient can be spared needless urologic procedures .The most common cause cf glomeruiar haematuria among children ana young adults is glomeruionephritis and the majority will be postinfectious croup A beta-haemolytic Streptococci. In nonglomerular haematuria, nephrolithiasis, urinary tract infection, cancer and senile enlaraed prostate are the most common causes of haematuria. |
