Abstract Despite many years of intensive research, the aetiology of pre-eclampsia-eclampsia is still unknown. As vasapasm is basic Co Che disease process of pre-eclampsia— eclampsia and causes arterial hypertension and reduction in cerebral, renal, uteriae and choriodecidual blood flow, the objectives of treatment of pre-eclampsia are: 1) to lower the blood pressure and reduce the degree of vasospasm, 2) to increase che blood flow in the uterus, kidneys, and other organs Co normal pregnancy levels. Prazosin is an anClhyper tensive agent ami Is a direct vasodilator that acts on vascular smooth muscles. It lowers blood pressure without significantly lowering the heart rate, cardiac output, renal blood flow, or the glomerular filtration rate. It also selectively inhibits the visceral vasooiotor activity increasing visceral blood flow and possibly renal and uterine blood flow. The aim of this work was to evaluate the clinical effect of Prazosin drug (Minipress) on mild and severe pre-eclaraptic cases and on foetal outcome. |
