Abstract The statement of ”once a Caesarean section always a Caesarean section11 and advances in medical care led to a rapid increase in the number of repeat Caeaarean births. Because of the rising trend, increased attention has been focused on vaginal delivery following previous Caesarean section. The aim of thia worlc was to study the outcome of eases who had a previous Caesarean section, after a trial of vaginal delivery aa a safer alternative to automatic repeat Caeaarean aection- The study included one hundred pregnant women admitted to deliver la Sbatfty Maternity Hospital with previous one or more Caes&raan sections. They were aubgrouped into group I included. 50 patients who were allowed a trial of vaginal delivery and group II, 50 patients who were subjected to elective repeat Gaeaarean section* Ifltrapartum electronic foetal monitoring was used in twenty patients to study the pattern of uterine contraction |
