Abstract Numerical solutions are obtained for the general governing differential equations in a nondimensionalized form. local heat transfer coefficients, fric-n0n factors, velocity profiles and temperature profiles are determined as a function of tube length. The local nusselt numbers are correlated with friction factors in a convenient relation for design purposes. the significance of the various terms in the numerical solution 15 investigated to determine their influence on the final results. the previously listed items are experimentally measured in order to verify the analytical results for variable viscosity in terms of viscosity ratio exponents for nusselt numbers and friction factor |
